Actun Tunichil Muknal - the ATM Cave, has been one of those tour activities I knew I would choose not do. It is physically challenging - swimming, crawling, climbing pulling pushing, creeping, and hiking and walking. Not me - the aging hippie, Jason's mom, sedentary, overweight and prone to hurting myself while out of the country. Well, my Archaeology class decided we would go as a group to see what our professor was so excited about.

ATM is by now, a well known sacred Maya cave, big and deep, way up in a river valley. Deep in the jungle of Belize, south of the village of Teakettle, the hiking trail runs along the Roaring Creek River.
